PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Vodafone - Web Portal Development and Support:
Vodafone is the largest mobile telecommunications network company in the world. It has interests in mobile networks in 28 countries across five continents.  Vodafone engaged IMPACT as their vendor to support and enhance their international customer Portals (Australia, New Zealand, Romania, Egypt). IMPACT was responsible for web portal application development and support in it's entirety, including code enhancement, and on-call support. Portal functionalities includes email/planner, dynamic web contents such as news, sports, weather, an alerting system and interfaces to billing system. Among the many enhancements was the development of a single Login supporting session managment and session handoff with other Portal vendor partners. Other projects includes the enhancement to Vodafone's Web application security including improvements in Authentication/Access Control, Encryptions, and Database programming.

Verizon Wireless - Ecommerce Site Development and Support:
Verizon was formed as the merger of Bell Atlantic, GTE, AirTouch and Primeco. Impact Software was the chosen vendor for developing the new company's Internet Shop. This application facilitated over 150 markets, each having its own product offerings. The project deliverables met every deadline and quality requirement. From VPs, to developers, all will testify to the success of this project and Impact Software's contributions.

NetZero - Web Development, Database Programming, Datawarehouse Development:
NetZero (now part of United Online), is a leading nationwide Internet Service Provider. Impact Software participated in several projects including:

Impact Software was able to help NetZero launch their site within very aggressive time constraints.
Database and Datawarehouse Programming:
Impact Software developed database access packages and procedures, helping NetZero manage data for over 4 million users.

Sempra Energy - Order Routing Dispatching and Scheduling:
Sempra Energy is a Fortune 500 company with eight subsidiaries and nearly 12,000 dedicated employees. Sempra Energy provides a wide spectrum of value-added electric, natural gas, broadband, and related products. Impact Software designed, coded and tested PACER, a complete routing, dispatching and employee scheduling system. The system was originally deployed with OS/2 PM and was recently ported to Windows NT.

AirTouch Communications (now Verizon Wireless):
Internet Customer Care:
Designed and developed the authentication, Navigation, and maintenance applications for AirTouch Communications’ Online Customer Care Web Site. Developed web pages and CGI programs using Oracle PL/SQL, the Web Request Broker (WRB), COBOL and Java Script. Also created a custom request broker cartridge using ‘C’.

Intranet
Developed web pages and CGI programs for an Intranet for AirTouch Communications’ Los Angeles market. Designed and developed web pages for their handbooks and manuals. Created CGI and Java Script programs for their employee phone directory, digital/analog usage reports, configured and customized the server search engine, created various reports and charts using Oracle SQL Plus, PL/SQL, and Graphics. Developed publishing process documentation and provided training sessions.

Decision Support
Designed, developed and maintained a real time decision support system for analyzing call usage by mobile number and cell sites for AirTouch Communications. Developed the system using Oracle Forms, SQL, C programs and scripts. System required summarizing and processing very large data files before loading into an Oracle database.

Project Management
Facilitated the MIS deployment of eight AirTouch retail stores and four temporary holiday stores. Coordinated the deployment with AirTouch departments such as; MIS, Technical Services (Network), Office Automation, Retail Development and Telecommunications.

Managed the deployment of 40 indirect retail sales systems for AirTouch Communications. Managed the consulting resources which configured, installed, deployed and supported the roll-out. Coordinated with sales managers and retail agents to schedule installation, training and legal agreements. Prepared cost estimates for management, RFP for vendors and purchase orders for accounting.
